Class 1: March 6 What is Mindfulness? Anchor your attention and start a short daily practice.
Class 2: March 13 How can Meditation practices help you to work with emotions? Surf the rising tides of strong emotions rather than being carried away by them.
Class 3: March 20 The Wise Heart. Practices to cultivate a compassionate and loving presence in your heart and your life.
Class 4: March 27 Bringing your practice to the world. Integrating all the practices and practical tips to help you establish a formal mediation practice.

About the teacher: Chere Parton Scythes has been practicing meditation and training to be a meditation teacher for 15 years. She completed a teaching apprenticeship with the founder of the Penn Program for Mindfulness in Philadelphia, and she is certified to teach introductory Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Seminars by the University of Massachusetts Medical Schools’ Center for Mindfulness, founded by Jon Kabot- Zin. She also completed five levels of Warrior in the World training at the Shambhala Center in Philadelphia, in addition to numerous other retreats and training seminars at Kripalu, Esalen, the Garrison Institute and Omega Institute. Currently she is in the second year of a Meditation Teaching Certification Program led by Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach.
She lives in Mullica Hill, NJ with her husband and two children. No stranger to stress, she has been a senior level healthcare technology executive for 29 years. She found the value of meditation while was a single mom and the founder and CEO of a digital start up. Currently she is the founder of Sage Advisory LLC, a coaching and consulting service.
