In Half Moon posture, the spine flexes laterally, both to the right and to the left. Trying the ‘right way’, keeping hips and shoulders in alignment, provides many benefits. Fat is burned in all of your typical ‘trouble spots’: side waist, belly, thighs and buttocks. The posture massages your internal organs, improving both digestion and elimination. Done correctly, Half Moon posture demands strength, flexibility, endurance and good body awareness. It stimulates all of your body’s major systems–and it challenges the mind.
